at around December 14th or so I broke out into a nasty coldsore unexpectedly, After several days and perhaps stupid choices of picking at it the coldsore finally fell off on December 23rd and left a red mark with the exact same shape. The lip is smooth and feels like the rest of my lip but there is a noticeable line that used to be the edge of the coldsore. Anyways I've left it healed for roughly two weeks and its looking better but still red, now my question is this a scar? and if so is it still contagious? I know theres a very low chance its contagious with it not visible but I would like to know if its fully healed after 2 weeks and that this red mark on my lip is just a normal scar. My Girlfriend and I miss being able to kiss and I dont want to spread it to her. Thanks in advance
