Hi, folks. My husband felt a lump in his testicular area and he went to see a doctor. After some tests, he was diagnosed with testicle cancer. His doctor recommends only radiotherapy. This frightens me and I would like to know if this will be enogh for this type of cancer or not. Will it help my husband?

Hi to you too. Testicular cancer can have good prognosis, don’t be afraid. Radiotherapy is used for treating seminomas. It is a form of germ cell testicular tumors. Radiotherapy is not effective in treating of non seminomas. Here, high doses of X rays are used for destroying cancer cells. You haven’t mentioned which type of tumor your husband has. Consult his doctor for more details. I hope everything will be all right. Bye!
