I have had strange and painful muscle twitches in my neck, that last for a little under half a minute. I looked painful neck spasms up on the internet, and I got a ton of information that seems to point to spastic torticollis. If I have spastic torticollis, is that the result of a muscle inflammation?

Sometimes spastic torticollis is caused by muscle inflammation or hyperthyroidism, though in the majority of cases the cause of spastic torticollis is still very much unknown. If your neck spasms persist - or even if they don't actually - you need to go to a doctor and get to the root of what is going on with you.
