My mother is 57 years old and it seems like she is having some health issues, heart ones more accurately. She also has hyperthyroidism, and it seems like those two conditions are related. Doctor mentioned there is a great possibility of left ventricular failure. Is there a way to prevent that?

Yes, it can be done. But that would require treatment for hyperthyroidism first. Most commonly, medications used are subduing the activity of thyroid gland and that would indirectly diminish the symptoms of her possible heart condition. I guess that she should start taking more care of herself and start dealing with those conditions.
