I am always very regular. I pretty much always have 28 days between periods. But right now, it seems like I'm starting, and I shouldn't start for another four days. Could it be stress, as I happen to have a lot of finals right now? Though, I'm also slightly nervous that this could not be my period. My boyfriend and I don't have sex, but earlier today, he was down there with his fingers and it might've gotten a little bit rough. An hour or two later, there was a tiny bit of blood. Do you think that it's a scratch or something? Or my period? I'm getting crampy, but it doesn't quite seem like my normal period blood, and again, it's a bit early. At first, I thought it was a scratch, because there was a little blood, then it kind of went away, and there was just a little bit of very, very light blood that was almost unnoticable. But it's seeming to start up again. I'm just a bit nervous as to what exactly this is, so, any ideas?

I think that you don’t need to worry about that, it’s nothing out of the ordinary. It’s possible that it’s a scratch but that would heal up very quickly anyway. As you already know so many things from stress and anxiety, weight loss to body processes can have effect on your menstrual cycle. It’s not carved in stone and there probably isn’t a woman who didn’t have early, late, heavy or light periods or spotting before or after periods. Four days isn’t so much before your period to experience this kind of bleeding. Some of tiny blood vessels inside your uterus that break every month when you have period broke early this month but it doesn’t have to mean anything unless it happens few months in a row.
