I have a question for you regarding my current condition. Is tinnitis common in menopause? I know that sleep and mood disorder are always present (I take some medicaments for that and they help!) but what about that ringing in the ears. I cannot recall if Ive heard that some woman experienced that symptom. Is it serious? Should I visit a doctor about that? I am a bit afraid that I am annoying him; I have been 5 times in his office last month, each time for a different symptom!

Well, if you have been that many times, what is one more, right? You realize that he is there to help you, if you have any problems, and you do, while in menopause, it is his obligation to receive you anytime you come, so do not worry about that. As for tinnitus, it is not a common menopause syndrome, but it can happen. Still, a new visit to a doctor might determine if it is really menopause causing your ear problems, or some other cause. Some medications can cause that feeling, aspirin and Prozac, for example.
