Hello, male in mid 20s. When erect, my foreskin can retract to just under my glands but can go no lower than that, where at this point it starts to squeeze the shaft fairly tight and the frenulum begins to feel strained. When having intercourse I don't retract my foreskin at all, and the foreskin goes half way down the glands then covers them back (no pain). Sometimes during foreplay my partner will tug very hard downwards on my foreskin which can cause some pain.
This has caused some paranoia since as far as i'm aware the foreskin should be able to retract all the way down the shift easily and current/past partners have pointed it out to me. I have been doing some stretches seem online for stretching the frenulum and foreskin but there has not been much change (opening is wider but frenulum still tight when attempting to retract once past the glands) Not sure where to proceed from here, is some sort of surgery necessary?

Every guy is different, not all guys can retract there foreskins right down the shaft and some can't even get it right back behind the glands because of a tight frenulum.
It is wrong of partners to point this out as what makes them experts on the matter just because some can, how long have you been doing the stretching exercises for because it can take up to a year or more to really notice any difference.
What you are experiencing is normal and if that's the only time it is actually causing you concern then just tell your partner to be a little more gently as the penis is a sensitive organ.
