A few months ago I began to have an itchiness that began to occur, usually after eating on or under my left rib cage only. There are no other symptoms. No rash, no redness at all, no other skin changes. It's just annoying at this point, but I wanted to check if anyone knows why this may occur. Could it be my kidney's ?

I don't eat seafood. I've seen a others complaints after eating raw fish, but that's not an option in my case .

Any ideas ? Thanks for your help. :-)

Did you ever find out what was causing the itching? I'm having the same exact problem. I have had an endoscopy, CT scan and a ultrasound and nothing shows.

If I understand this correctly, you mean the itchiness is INTERNAL, not on the surface, right? Like it feels like it's UNDER the skin. I get this when I'm having an allergic reaction to something I ate. Lately citrus seems to be the culprit. Some antihistamines do this to me as well, like Allegra. No rashes, nothing superficial, it's all on the inside. When I'm having seasonal allergy flares, it can be a daily thing for me. Zyrtec helps, but doesn't completely eliminate it. Hope this helps.

Hi, guys.

Itchiness under the left ribcage can be caused by a variety of conditions, including:

-Insect bites or irritation from clothing
-Allergies
-Skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, or contact dermatitis
-Gallbladder or liver problems
-Lung conditions such as pneumonia or pleurisy
-Kidney stones or infection
-Hernia
-Gastrointestinal issues such as acid reflux, ulcers, or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
-Muscle strain or injury

As the guest above me said, if an allergy is a problem, you can try a similar treatment.
