I never thought that my kid would have such a hard life, but that is how it is at the moment. And even though there are no promising discoveries in MS area we still hope that the breakthrough will happen. Anyway, she has just been diagnosed with optic neuritis and we were told that is not uncommon in multiple sclerosis patients. Is that true?

Unfortunately, yes. High percentage of MS patients, almost 50% develop this kind of a problem at some point. But I guess that at least in this case you do not have to worry that much about her. I mean, in most cases, this condition ca be eliminated completely and vision restored to normal. As for MS, well I guess we will still have to wait for that breakthrough, but even that is better than abandoning all hope.
