hi fellow hemms survivors! i had undergone hemmorhoidectomy (intenal) last May 2007 & badly it so happened that hemmoroids came back again now. I will undergo laser surgery by this time. My surgeon (not my previous doctor) told me that it is painless and i can go back to work a couple of days after surgery.

I have no baby yet and i am afraid. Does laser surgery will affect my future pregnancy?

Thank you in advance fo your replies.

Considering that hemorrhoids are situated in the anus and rectum and are in no way connected to vagina, cervix, fallopian tubes and uterus...I would say there shouldn't be any problems conceiving.

However, it is likely that you will get more hemorrhoids in pregnancy :-( ....almost every woman does.

I actually got info from a different theoretic sources that there is no difference between scalpel and laser hemorrhoidectomy. However, I can't say what's it like in practice. I hope somebody else can.

Good luck to you
