I know that multiple myeloma is not cureable but treatable. what is the success rate of treatment and life expectancy?

Hi there,

This is hard to tell because everybody has a different individual process of recovery. It depends on many factors. The fact is that you will have to have regular checkups after the treatment. The doctor will monitor if there is any indications that your cancer has returned. You have to understand that even when the cancer is completely destroyed that there is still a chance that it will return. The exams will usually consist of X rays, blood tests and bone marrow biopsy. In some cases you will have to stay in hospital if doctor think it is necessary. I hope that this helped you in any way.
