It is not a pretty picture once you realize you no longer have a Pancreas and the changes you mentally have to deal with. I had my Pancreas removed in February of 2013 and the diabetes has been completely out of control. I have days when I am very high and days when I am very low. My doctor has put me on a carb diet which has helped out mildly. I am thankful that I can eat and I have gained a little of my weight back, I joined the gym and keeping up with my exercise which helps with the diabetes. I am going to keep the faith I know eventually I will be almost back to normal even without the Pancreas. I know there is someone out there that has the same feelings I have about their condition.
