I've been having lower left abdominal pain that is accompanied by bowel movments and at times cold sweats and rapid heart beats. I can have between 7-12 bowel movements in one 12 hour period. Most of the bowel movements occur every 1/2 hour or so. During the months of January-March it occured every night. Then in April it started everytime I was midcycle. This week I just finished my period and it's back again....this is day two.
I have had a Colonoscopy (normal), Endoscopy (normal), CT Scan which was run after the colonoscopy because I was in extreme pain. I would assume that if I had crohns or ulcers on my small instestines it would have shown up.
I've been seen by the Gastrologist who says it's not his issue but a gynocology problem. The Gynocologist runs a pap smear and then proceeds to say it's not her issue but the gastro issue.
Can IBS cause pain/bowel movements like this??? I asked the Gastro Doc, but he had one of those "huh" looks on his face. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them... I'm at the end of my rope with this.
Maybe it's a cyst problem or another issue with my Uterus? Can bladder issues cause this kind of pain. I've had several ITU without infection over the last few years. No one understands that at all.
I should also mention that I have Lupus.
Any help would be appreciated!
