I went on holiday for a week last week, and I left my beloved Labrador with my cousin, where he has been before when I have gone away for a week and he has always been just fine over there. My cousin really loves him. This time, he came home with a lump on his rib case and my cousin doesn't know what happened. What could this be? Do I need to see the vet?

hey there Jamesy,
I have worked at a vet clinic for several years and am in the process of getting into Vet School. I too have a labrador so I can realate very well to your problem.
Do you know if your labrador hit anything or fell? this lump is it Hard or soft and does if cause him any pain when its touched or rubbed?
it sounds like it could be just a bruise.
Let me know and I can offer more assistance.
Thanks ;-)
