Same problem. I'm 16, masturbate often and a few days ago i noticed a pea sized lump on top of my penis shaft (what you see when you look down at your penis). This lump causes me no pain nor is it difficult to find when my penis is erect but when flacid i have to 'search' for it to be able to feel it and in the past few days i feel asif it has decreased in size but that could just be me trying to reassure myself. Judging by how many people have posted about this, it's quite common but my questions are:

Why is it there?

How long before it goes away?

Is it dangerous/should i consult a doctor?

Should i stay away from masturbation for a while until it's gone down?

I'm so glad to read these posts and know I'm not the only one. I went to my doctor when I found 3 lumps appear at once under my foreskin. HE gave me a course of antibiotics which did nothing so he gave me some stronger antibiotics. .....which did nothing. I went to see a specialist and he described them as collections of fat. HE said they can perform surgery on them and basically squeeze the fat out but he thought it was unnecessary. (Try being the one with lumps). HE told me they may go away on their own or they could be there forever (great :( ). He said they may move about or even multiply. but as long as I was in no pain and all the tubes etc are working and aren't blocked or squashed he basically told me to just go home and keep an eye on them and to come back if I have any real health issues with it. doesn't help as I've recently split from my wife, then these lumps appeared about a month after so now I'm wonder if it's worth meeting anyone again as I feel I will just get laughed at or the next woman is going to take one look at it and run a mile.

Guys I had the same thing it appears after you have sex and if you masterbait went to the doctor they told me it was just a wart they remove it sometime you have more than one down the line told me another one popped up go to the pharmacy and get you get wart remover drop it drop it and repeated in 12 hours that's what done is being done

Helpful answer finally.
I noticed the exact same type of lump after a big night of heavy play with my Wife. I hadn't ejaculated during intercourse that night, so masturbated to release the demons. This is when I felt/noticed mine. It runs just below the head and around the left side of the shaft like a ring would sit. Not painful at all. But very starange

I got this after 2 nights of rough sex. On the base of my penis above my ball sack. Went to see my Urologist the next day. He assured me it was nothing to worry about & prescribed me Doxycycline hyclate 100 mg tablets. Took it for 2 days and my lump has already shrinked.
