Hello. Can you tell me if lung cancer is heredity disease? My grand father died from it and his brother too. Is it possible that I am at the risk? I am smoker, but I doubt that smoking is the only risk factor.

The leading risk factor for lung cancer is smoking, but also Marijuana, exposure to workplace carcinogens, miners for example people who work with arsenic, vinyl chloride, nickel chromates, coal products, mustard gas and chloromethyl ethers. I don’t know about heredity of lung cancer. But my grand father died from it too when he was only 40, mom is healthy and I am so far. So, I guess it is not.
