Are u mad?
Smoking cannabis heavily for a year definatley does give you withdawl. I have smoked this for over a year, smoking 3 quarter of an ounce a week. It is now day 3 and i decided to go cold turkey because of my experience with 'cutting down', this didnt work, my brain new i was allowed some and 'some' became just as much as i would normally.
Cannabis withdraws from going cold turkey are not extremely bad, however can be unpleasant. For me so far i have experienced vivid dreams, loss of appetite, ALOT more energy and motivation, a much clearer mind, night sweats, feeling sick (not vomiting so far) and restlessness, unable to relax, less anxiety in myself.
Everyone experiences different side effects from smoking cannabis regually over time, for me, my mental health was not at its best, i wouldnt be able to go out into social situations, i missed ALL my university interviews because of it, i lost out on alot of oppotunities because of how i was.
quitting was actually the best thing i have ever done, and although it is hard. what is the point in carrying on smoking? you cant be arsed with anything anymore, you get angry at loved ones just because u need a joint, ur whole life revolves around it, you get yourself that hooked on it you start growing !! police arrest you, and this is how i changed.
dont smoke it
they are sprayed with nasty chemicals to make u addicted.
And for the person above: cannabis has changed drastically throughout the decade, it is now full of THC, it is now sprayed with meth to get you addicted.
please, just do not go near it because this stuff f**ks you up big time in the way you just cant even be arsed.
LIFE IS FOR LIVING NOT SURVIVING!!!!

How ridiculous. Just because you personally haven't experienced negative symptoms doesn't mean there aren't people who absolutely do. Aren't hungry? Shove food down your throat? I can't keep food down. When I eat I'm nauseous and I either throw up or deal with incredible stomach pain. You're post was extremely negative and unhelpful and u should keep your dumb useless personal opinions to yourself and stay away from here if you judge people instead of helping!

You're wrong. There is nothing psychological about crankiness, loss of sleep and appetite. I quit periodically to clean out my system, exactly the same every time, like clockwork. I'm 47. Been a regular user for 30 years.

"If your a common stoner you haven't got any REAL exercise for a long time..." That is a negative stereotype and a broad generalization of regular smokers. I was on 2g every 3 day system and I worked out twice a day six days a week. Let's not let "Reefer Madness" tell others how they live on buds. Just stick to the facts please.

YOU DO SOME f*****g HOMEWORK. THC causes a deficiency in endorphins within your brains reward and pleasure system, and is globally accepted as PHYSICALY addictive. Of course there is a huge mental side to it as well, which is more substantial, but marijuana smokers can experience the same withdrawal as cigarette smokers when they try to quit.

I've come to this post several times just to read it again. Your words have kept me from smoking . I don't know why this paragraph is keeping me strong but it is. i bet you didn't know you would have an effect on someone like thisbut you have ,,, I don't really want to include how I'm feeling , let's just say you've nailed it on your post.

I think it depends on the person's history. I am an alcoholic and in Aa. I tried for two years to smoke pot like a normal person, but I have an addictive mind and end up needing it daily. I had a very hard time quitting and could not do it on my own. Since I have begun to be honest about it I have met many others who have struggled like me. It is similar to how it is easy for some not to drink and hard for others. The physical withdrawal for me was real - night sweats, insomnia and the rest, but the emotional piece even harder. If you are struggling get support from others like you. What is easy for some is a great challenge for others, and your own willpower may not be enough. Everyone has their own experience, and just because it is hard for you to quit doesn't mean you are weak. You may have the disease of addiction. Marijuana is not a harmful drug unless you have the disease of addiction. Pleas try not to judge those who struggle as what is easy for some is impossible for others to accomplish alone.

This is a generalization. It is estimated that about fifteen percent of the population suffers from the disease of addiction. I am among them. I first learned I coud not drink safely, but continued to use pot on a regular basis. I eventually had to admit that I was also a slave to weed. I had to have it and continued to smoke it even after making many cows to quit. I was only able to do so by going to recovery meetings and working through it in therapy. I agree that marijuana has many medicinal properties, and many many people can smoke it or leave it. I was not one of them. I could become addicted to any drug and total abstinence has been the only solution for me to be able to live a manageable and serene life. It is important to make the distinction that not all brains handle substances in the same way. My husband can both drink and smoke normally. He can take it or leave it but I cannot. It took me a long time to come to terms with the fact that I am not like other people. If it is "easy" for you to quit smoking weed, be grateful, but also be mindful that for others it is too hard to accomplish with willpower alone. There is no shame in being a drug addict or an alcoholic if you are willing to admit you are powerless over it and are open to accepting help. None of us are truly ready for judgment.

This is the only person here who has actually done unbiased research. If you have trouble sleeping or eating after u stop ingesting something that is called a PHYSICAL withdrawal symptom.

For the appetite, it'll come back. Try some opti fast satchets from the chemist, they're a meal replacement. Try drinking it with full cream milk since you're not trying to lose weight.
