I have been suffering from Type 2 Diabetes mellitus and hypertension on appropriate treatment for the last 4 years but had to undergo
Aortic valve replacement surgery along with 2 CABG two years ago.The valve used was a Porcine valve.During the past two years
though I looked very normal and moderately active performing daily routine without exerting myself too much I was hospitalised twice
for breathlessness (once in the two months after surgery and now during the last two months ie., after 15 months after surgery)
and diagnosed to be suffering from Hyperkalemia as a result of Cardiac hemolytic anemia on account of the prosthetic valve. I have been
continously put on hematonics and Folic acid on a daily basis but I continue to be anemic with raised potassium levels.
Is there a way to correct this problem of anemia and Hyperkalemia medically or otherwise? Please help.
