I have been diagnosed with cancer … taking some meds and also going chemotherapy. I have a current problem, severe diarrhea. I would like to know if there is any medicine or what should I do to prevent it.

Ok, first of all, eat small, frequent meals and avoid following foods: milk and diary products, alcohol, spicy foods, caffeine, some fruit juices, foods that are high in fat and fiber.
If you have mild diarrhea, eat special diet for at least 5 day. This diet should contain bananas, rice, apples, toast (not bread)…this should decrease frequency of stools. For severe diarrhea, you should contact your doctor and because you might need intravenous fluids and other forms of intravenous nutrition.
In every case, drink plenty fluids, because diarrhea might dehydrate your body. So, at least 3 quarts of clear liquid (best is water, no caffeine!).
