Hey there, here is a list of characteristics, typical for meditarainian diet. There is a high consumption of fruits, vegetables, bread and other cereals, potatoes, beans, nuts and seeds. Olive oil is one of the most important features and it is important source of monounsaturated fat. Diary products, fish, poultry are consumed in moderate amounts, but definitely in much bigger than red meat. Eggs are consumed in low amounts, perhaps once a week. So, most typical is high consumption of fruits, vegetables, bread, rice, pasta, and other cereals. Oh, yes, alcohol is also consumed in low amounts, except wine, that is very popular in that area, but not recommended.
