Use this diet even if you are not a diabetic. Eat all the lean cuts of meat that you care to eat, no need to hold back if you are a meat lover. Use a moderate amount of poly and mono unsaturated oil such as canola oil in your cooking or salad. Go easy on high glycemic foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta, bread.
