I had surgery Nov 21 so its been about a month since the procedure. The problem im having is the swelling...my knee gives tends to give out so i have to use a walker to maintain stability. I can barely bend my knee to 20cms somy therapist says. Its going on 2wks since i started therapy...but im wondering how long does it really take for all the darn swelling to go away? im tired of this. :(

I had arthroscopy with lateral release on 19Nov12 and my knee is still swollen.  Also does not straighten or bend completely.  Never used a walker - just a cane, especially for stairs or outside.  My physiotherapist told me that it takes about 6 weeks for the swelling to go away with this type of surgery.  Hang in there!
