menstrual cycles and clotting

I had a similar problem, it’s just that I’ve been missing some of my periods and then this heavy bleeding and clots.…I got really scared, so after two or three missed I went to the gyno and she told me that this is not so serious. Usually are missed periods, too frequent periods, spotting, or bouts of heavy clotting and bleeding caused by an underlying hormonal imbalance that can be easily treated. All you have to do is visit your gynecologist and see what exactly is a problem and solve it! Good luck!!

I had this problem from age sixteen until age twenty eight when they finally did a partial hystorectomy.I just found out at age 42 that I have a blood clotting disorder called,Anticardiolipin,Anticardiolipid,Antibody Syndrome,also known as Hughes syndrome.Have your Dr.do a blood test and check you before you suffer too much with this easy to fix health problem.

Hello I am a 28 year old female with two children.  I had a tubal done three years ago and have had normal monthly cycles since getting my period when I was 15.  This month I had my period from March 28th until April 2nd.  I got my period again on April 15th and still have it today April 19th.  This second period is very painful.  The blood also looks a little different.  It looks like I cut myself, very dark red.  I have also been passing very large clots a little smaller than a golfball.  They are very gooey and round.  I am not sure if this is normal or if I should be concerned.  I have also been very nauseous and tired since I started my second period.  Can anyone help me out to see if this is normal?  Thanks

Dear tonti1024, I just turned 47 yes old. I have two kids, had a tubal after my second child. I'm an athlete and always experience light to heavy periods. This past June, my whole cycle went out of whack. Period was late and when it came it was light but lasts a while... Then it came back in 2 weeks, went away and back recently July 22nd up till now. It started off light for a week and this week heavy bleeding and clotting! Huge clots! I am not used to the heavy bleeding. Normally I have 1 heavy day during my cycle. Not 3 days plus! Ekuuipo
