I am so glad I found this because I to was getting overwhelmed thinking that something was happening to me! I was using vagistat thinking I had a yeast infection and because it wasn't "working"(taking the foul smell of my urine away) I was getting seriously concerned! I've been on methadone for 10 years now and let me tell you IT HAS DONE MIRACLES IN MY LIFE! PLEASE DONT LET 1 BAD REVIEW SCARE YOU AWAY FROM GETTING TREATMENT IF YOU NEED IT! I can get up everyday without worrying about having a damn pain pill up my nose or shot of heroin in my veins! I can do all things that I need to do now without hesitation! Yes I do get sleepy sometimes if I sit down but who doesn't? Yes, you will have to get on a stable dose that is right for you before you can actually feel normal and have no withdrawals what do ever! NO, METHADONE IS NOT GOING TO WORK IF YOU ARE CONSTANTLY STILL USING! YOU'RE GOING TO FEEL THE NEED TO KEPE GOING HIGHER AND HIGHER IN YOUR DOSE! So before you decide if methadone is right for you, ask yourself a few questions!
#1.) Am I really ready to be clean for good?
#2.) Am I going to continue to use drugs after I start treatment just because I want to?
#3.) If you don't have insurance, it can get expensive to dose, so make sure it's something you're willing to pay for before you start receiving treatment!
I hope this helps anyone who is deciding whether or not to get MMT (Methadone Managed Treatment) and I can say with pride that IT WORKED FOR ME AND SAVED MY LIFE!
