Hello. I'm 34 year old male and just recently I have experienced one serious accident just in front my house. About six days ago I slipped on ice and fell on my back.
Since then I'm suffering from strong pains located in my back and radiating in my left foot. You see, I haven’t still contacted any doctor over this because I was sure it will go away by it self- but I was wrong. What should I do? A friend has recommended me this Methocarbonal drug for my muscles but I'm not sure should I take it before consulting any doctor over all this.
Please tell me- is this Methocarbonal really that good for my muscles?

Hi. I think you are right- you shouldn’t take any medication before consulting a doctor first. I will tell you what I think about your case.
You see -this Methocarbonal drug that your friend has recommended you is not a pain killer at all!
The fact is that it is a muscle relaxant, very mild one but it really can help with pain induced by muscular stiffness and spasm. One more fact- I'm not so sure that you have muscle problem at all.
If your pain is radiating to your foot than it is very possible that we are talking about nerve damage. Disc herniation is also an option. In that cause the use of drug would be pointless. Talk with your physician!
