OMG Ok well I'm a 15 year old girl, and lately a ton of problems have been happening to me, I have to past family history and I've always been very healthy my whole life.
But lately I have been having what I would consider a drastic hair loss, hair falls out from the root in the shower, and when i brush. I stopped using chemicals and slowed down with straighteners, but it still falls out.
Then I also noticed my periods are messed up, a few months ago I had an extreammly heavy one then ever since it's been getting less and less and further apart. Now I don't even really get one, just a little brown trace then it's gone.
I'm just wondering if anyone can help me, is it crucial that I see a doctor? Or could it be stress? I also ~ on the side, have gall stones but I'm getting my gall bladder removed in 5 days ~ so would these problems stop after surgery?

I recommend you have your thyroid checked. Hair loss, acne, and hormonal swings can all be symptoms of a thyroid condition. Thyroid conditions often surface at about your age. They can be controlled with medication. When they go undiagnosed they can wreak havoc with your body--yet the symptoms can seem very unrelated and unimportant. Things like feeling tired, having a hard time losing or gaining weight, mood swings, circles under your eyes, etc. are some other symptoms. Ask your doctor to do a full range of thyroid tests. Best wishes!
