You don’t look for anything. Mucus plug is accumulation of mucus/secretion that closes cervix during pregnancy protecting it from infections. Slightly before labour, loss of this plug occurs and it may appear as thick, brownish-pink vaginal discharge. It is nothing to worry about, it will give you a sign that you will give birth soon.
