Hello! I have 3 years old son. I’m worried because my child's pediatrician concerned about a lazy eye. We need to go and check that. Until then I can’t stop thinking about it. What it is exactly and what is the most usual treatment for it. Can it be dangerous? Thank you!

Lazy eye (Amblyopia) is the eye condition noted by reduced vision. The brain does not fully acknowledge the images seen by the amblyopic eye. Usually it can be treated with vision therapy, which includes patching one eye, and atropine eye drops, Untreated amblyopia may lead to functional blindness in the affected eye.
