My cousin has been diagnosed with Pleurodynia

Hi, pleurodynia is also called Bornholm Disease. The cause for it is viral (coxsackie B) epidemic disease. Symptoms include a brief fever, severe chest and lower back pain aggravated by deep breathing and movement. It usually returns in a few days. When body gets stronger it heals itself and recovers completely. It is spread by contact and epidemics spread from time to time. There is no specific treatment for this disease. However, usually antibiotics are misused in this occasion and they are not really useful.
