It could be an allergic reaction, anaphylaxis. Seek medical attention now!

His cheek is swelled... he been through MRI scans but the doctors says that they cant find out the problem and they need to do another test by taking a liquid from his spine and send it for testing... and after that test he needs to get his tongue checked...
He smokes and drinks alcohol... but not after he got this...
need some more advise because here in india tamil nadu hospitals are saying that they have not found what is wrong with him...
But he feels better but its coming back with some amount of pain in the head... when he talks his voice is blocked a little by the swelled tongue... makes me worry allot...

Allergic reactions are common to both symptoms. Did he ingest anything shortly before these reactions occur?
It could also indicate a bacterial infection (including syphillis), herpes, or yeast infections.
