I found out I was pregnant last week the day I got my bright positive test was two days before expected period. That same day I started bleeding like a period but no clots. went to the ER the dr said my hcg was low at 10 he said I am either having a very early miscarriage or I'll come back in a couple of days and they will rise. The bleeding only happened for two days stopped completely went back for bloodwork the had raised to 77!! Then followed up with my gp a few days later and had more bloodwork they've dropped to 49. She said she was sorry she thinks I had a miscarriage but would like more bloodwork done in a couple of days. Is there any chance they could rise?? Has anyone experienced this?? I haven't bled since and no cramping at all.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. It is possible for hCG levels to fluctuate in early pregnancy, and a single low hCG level does not necessarily mean that a pregnancy is not viable. However, dropping hCG levels are typically a sign of a non-viable pregnancy, such as a miscarriage.

The fact that you experienced bleeding and the hCG levels have fluctuated may indicate that you had an early miscarriage. However, it is important to continue monitoring your hCG levels and follow up with your doctor for additional bloodwork as recommended. Sometimes, additional tests such as ultrasound may be needed to confirm whether the pregnancy is viable or not.

It is important to take care of yourself during this time, both physically and emotionally. If you do experience a miscarriage, it is important to give yourself time to grieve and seek support from loved ones or a mental health professional if needed. Your doctor can also provide guidance on any necessary medical care or follow-up needed after a miscarriage.

Please keep in close communication with your doctor, as they can provide you with the best guidance and care during this time.
