My mother has rheumatoid arthritis. She gets pains in her hands when she eats certain foods. Why is that? She was never allergic before. What can be done to stop them? I understand that lots of people get similar pains.

Rheumatoid arthritis affects the immune system which controls what the body attacks, Like a virus and the body doesn't want to get sick, but since its abnormal, it attacks the joints causing the pain, and foods may flare up that pain. It ‘s similar to an allergic reaction. I am 38 years old and I am suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis past 5 years. It developed due the injury I had.
