I am twelve and my parents tell me to go to bed at 10:30 on weekends but websites say for my age 11:300 for weekends and 10:00 for school nights. What should I do

I go to bed at 8pm on week nights and 9-10 on weekends but I'm only 12. Wow ! You go to bed so early I think that when you pass age 14-15 you should go to bed when you want

My bed time changed only because of my step dad and that f*****g sucks, I go to sleep at 10:00 PM It f**ks annoys me cause I have to stay without wifi and watch downloaded movies instead I could smoke joints and play music..

Sleep is so important!! I am the sleep Nazi. Sometimes I feel bad BUT all the research says teens need 8-10 hours of sleep. And if my 13 yr old doesn't get adequate sleep, he is a mess!! The 15 yr old does stay up for a bit longer. My boys are so busy with school and then have practice (sports) after school let sometimes they are relieved to get to bed. Sometimes at dinner they are total zombies. School nights they are in bed by 8:30 and on the weekends they can stay up longer.

yes 7pm bedtimes were normal in the 1960's when I was a child always bathed around 6pm and mum put us to bed at 7pm

well, my parents do the same thing, plus, im not really allowed to go out with my friends, try new sports, and other stuff like that. my life is very controlled, and at least ur getting a good night's rest. my parents are punishing my brother to sleep in the garage tonight, forcing him to wear dirty clothes, and they won't let him bring blankets or pillows. on top of all these restrictions (and 100 more), we're broke, so i haven't been to the mall in the past 3 years too ;-;

Yes I am 13 and my parents have the same bed times for me tp , it gets really frustrating because that's the time when all of my friends so calls and face times. It also gets really stressful because they don't let me lay in either they make me get up at 8 when I'm not in school just so that I can help with my little brother. I feel like I'm always left with responsibility of him too which also is just spoil fustrating . One reason y the make me get up so early is so that I can take my little brother to play and mind him. If this keeps carting on I'm going to start to really not have any happiness in my life. I need help and now!!

I'm 15 years old and my parents are so strict about bedtimes they still make me go to bed by half 8 on a weekday and half 9 on a weekend, I only managed to get the extra half an hour after lots of arguments when I was 13. It's so frustrating and embarrassing. I have a TV/Xbox in my room but they will know if its on and they caught me on my phone late enough times that they now make me charge it downstairs ffs! Their compromise is apparently that when i'm 16 AND have finished secondary school (so basically next summer) I can choose my own bedtimes but all my friends can already do that!!! Honestly they treat me like a toddler sometimes.
