my partner is currently taking Acitretin for chronic plaque psoriasis and she has been on this medication for a year now. It has helped a lot, but it’s a dangerous substance with a long list of side effects. She has to have pregnancy tests every 3 months to confirm she’s not pregnant if she wants to continue being on this medication - that’s how toxic it can be to an unborn baby.

But she’ll stop this medication at the end of June, so how long will she need to continue being on birth control and avoiding pregnancy at all cost?
