I am now doing a candida diet
I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and I bought a whole bunch of new things. I was reading online about different methods to treat Candida. Last night I took some garlic pills and some Zinc pills, this morning my stomach made some loud noises, that it hadn't made in weeks. I think/hope this is a good sign, because the cadida might be getting attacked. I've been on this Candida diet for like 2 weeks and I feel MUCH better. Also eating oatmeal in water is very helpful. I know it tastes BLAND and it smells like carboard, but it's good for you. I have been taking so many pills to a target this problem and I read its good not to take everything at once. Try to take like 2 pills everyday for a week then stop and then start another 2 pills for a week and then stop and so on. I was reading that this helps trick the Candida and it helps in not allowing the candida to become immune to all the pills. I wish I could get a colon transplant, but I guess that would be too much, so now I'll just resort to black walnut, milk thistle, probiotics, garlic pills, l-glutimine, bentonite, grapefruit seed extract and digestive enzymes. There are two other types, but I can't recall the names right now. Alright well I hope everyone will try this diet and take these pills and see if they work for you. This diet should be conducted for like 3 months from what I was reading.
I remember one person saying that they use to get chest pains after taking the probiotics and I use to get these chest pains too. I just thought that the good bacteria was killing the bad bacteria. Now that I have been taking these pills for 2 weeks I don't have any more pains in my chest. I would suggest you talk to a doctor, but I didn't. I really think that seeing a doctor can be a waste of time and most just want to charge the insurance company. I told myself that I would try this diet for 3 months and if I don't get rid of these noises, then I would go and see another doctor.
Well good luck everyone, Eric

This thread blows my mind! Girls, if you are getting rumbling in your stomach a few hours after you eat a really small breakfast it is because you are hungry! If you have the attitude that food is bad and will only make you fat you need to see a doctor because you may be at risk of anorexia if not already anorexic. Please, eat sensibly and take care of yourself. If you are worried about how your body looks then exercise!

Im 23 yrs old & I recently started having the loud grumbling sounds in my stomach. It happens especially at night and keeps me up. I'm going to see a GI specialist. I've been to the same doctor before and he diagnosed me with a Hiatal hernia. That is probably not the appropriate name but I have a weakened muscle above my stomach that allows the acids come up into my esophagus. Now I have no idea if that has anything to do with it but it might. Now I voluntarily stay away from spicy foods. I’ve also noticed the grumbling gets much worse when I drink sodas. So I’m staying away from that all together. I’ll keep everyone updated once I see the GI specialist again.

your stomach doesnt exactly growl when your hungry. it can also growl from digesting food or gas bubbling in your stomach, often from indigestion

Hey everyone
i am 14 years old and..
Omg i have been having the exact same problem and it is the WORST!
Everyone laughs at me when it growls and my stomach seems to growl whenever its quite.
I started to get scared when i read that all these people were getting the same thing and it wasnt going away!
So i did some research, and some people told me that if you sit down after you eat gases build up in your stomach so they told me the solution is to DINK LOTS OF WATER! it will stop the gases.
so i am going to try this out and fingers crossed it works and for you guys aswell.
good luck
hope i have helped :-D

I have the same thing, I'm 16 and since I was 13 I've had it. No matter what you eat or do or anything, you still have it. I've taken to eating before 1st, 3rd and 6th periods to stop it and it's awful in exams when the routine is different.
I guess it's just one of those things that loads of people get around this age, I'm sure it stops when you get older. It proably is jus hormones!
I find that chewing gum and drinking water really helps me even though lots of people don't agree with the gum. Different thins just work for different people!
Thanks for making me feel like I'm not alone.

Dude, just bring a pack of gum if you know it happens often. For me too, it ALWAYS grumbles in 2nd or 1st period so i just chew on some gum or hold my breath until i feel like it's gonna go away. Sometimes it doesn't but a lot of the time I save myself the embarrassment.
But besides all that, try actually eating, LOL. I know I don't have the time (i'm slow in the morning, but who isn't" XP) so i don't eat and then at lunch i don't eat AGAIN (cause i never have money) so my stomach in rumbling all day, but i just forget about it and that makes it go away too. Just stop thinking about it!
Grumbling is normal, so don't worry to much. it's just your stomach warning you that it needs to refuel. ;P

i find that generally if that starts happening to me, i can tighten my core, not just my abs, and it will help significantly.

This had started happening to me again recently. I'm 39. And i've found something that helps. Yogurt or any other 'good bacteria' food like it seems to slow down the occurrence of these grumbles.
I'm putting it down to diet (i don't always eat healthy) and including yogurt in my diet gets rid of these gassy grumbles. I have fruit yogurt as a dessert at least once a day and i feel alot better.
It's most likely that the grumbles are caused by the bad bacteria in your stomach and intestines making gas and the 'good stuff' in yogurt neutralizes them.
