Who can tell me how to find a list of doctors who perform this procedure?
Not finding one readily..
Many thanks!

I used Google to find my guy. It doesn't seem like there's a lot of ENTs using it. I found one in Texas and Colorado. Maybe contact one of those offices and see if they have an idea of where to find the closest ENT that uses tissue welding.
Good luck

Eric, hope all is continuing to be well. Thanks sooo much again for all the info in your posts here! Well I Googled AND reached out to the mfr (now Microline). My luck - the closest doc to me was 3 hours away. I'm in NJ, doc is in DE.. Met with him today, scheduled my surgery for later on this month. Very much looking forward to being able to post about as tolerable a recovery as yours..

Good luck. I hope your surgery goes as successful as mine did. Make sure to ask for liquid vicodin with codeine (if it doesn't make you nauseous). Have a timer app set to take your meds at the proper intervals so you can head the pain off at the pass. Even if you're feeling ok, it's better to take the meds BEFORE it starts to hurt again. I can't wait to hear how it goes. :-)

Hi there. Curious to know how it went? Well hopefully. Hard to believe no one in NY does this. Can you tell me the name of the doctor in DE and the cost? Not sure insurance will cover this. Thanks for you time.

I certainly think it's the best for tonsillectomy. The thing is finding an ENT who does it in your area. Contact Microline (they make the machinery) to see if they supply any ENT specialists in your area. Definitely search for tissue welding and read everyone's experience with it.
Good luck

I tried to find one in NC but have not been able to do so... I did find one and went for a visit he only likes to use this on children. I have not found anyone who does this on a regular basis.

Thanks, for responding. I have not had much success with that thus far the only places I have seen are in Texas, California, and Chicago. All of these are pretty far off for me. From what I have read and seen there seems to be a huge difference in this procedure. When I think of the other options I literally feel sick.

I had the tissue welding tonsillectomy in Austin Texas; I took a 2 hours flight; spent a 5 day weekend with my friend and after the 5th day flew home. I hear alot of horror stories but I can tell you first hand that as long as you have the tissue welding process and STAY on your meds; after the surgery you will have little pain and by the 5th day I hardly had no pain at all. But I stayed on top on my meds ALL the time. And after day 5 ; i felt good and flew home. I know for sure they are in OK and TX.

Thanks for this info. Where you able to eat? Did you have a lot of ear pain and so forth?

I didn't have any ear pain with my procedure. As for eating, my biggest issue was my sore tongue. They clamp it out of the way so it was pretty beat up.

Where you able to eat enough to take pain meds? I get nausea and really don't like taking them at all. In addition, I am not very big and do not want to lose a lot of weight. What did your diet consist of? How long before you could eat?
