well the skin of my outer labia has been itching for months and its gone a greyish colour.. i have researched about it and found that it could be a yeast infection but i dont have a discoloured or weird smelling discharge. the skin is not red either its just a grey colour..what oculd it be? i am too embarassed to talk about it to my mom or go to the doctor.. what should i do??

Well if you really want to know if it's serious or not you have to tell your mom. I had to ask my mom a question about periods and now I know more information because I sucked it up and asked. For your safety tell your mom.
