Hello. I'm 29 year old male and I'm really worried about my wife. Just recently she has found out the she is pregnant for a second time. We already have a beautiful daughter.
Of course, when a home pregnancy test came positive she has contacted her gynecologist for further evaluation.
During the examination, he has determined that everything is ok, accept one fact—she has some Nabothian follicles on her cervix.
He told us that this isn’t so dangerous condition but anyway- he would like to do some colposcopy checkup and scheduled her for a week period. How really serious this condition could be?

Like your doctor told you, in most cases this is harmless condition that requires no treatment what so ever.
Nabothian cysts are a normal finding on the cervix of women who have had children especially had difficult labors. Also, in menopausal women this is most common condition.
Very rarely, if these cysts become too large or have unusual position doctor may want to do colposcopy exam which uses a magnifying instrument to examine the surface of the cervix closely.
Anyway, like I've said- it is completely harmless condition and there is no possible prevention because Nabothian cysts are considered to be normal.
