This is a completely inaccurate thing to post to people who are obviously wanting some support with opiate withdrawal.

A week of withdrawal is what most people will go through and then a phase of lack of energy that can last a while IF ALL YOU DO IS LIE ON THE SOFA. If you get up and about as soon as you are able it is likely that most people will feel completely normal in under 3 weeks and 2 weeks of that is feeling lack of energy and depression that is treated by being kind to yourself. Eating properly, exercising and doing things that make you feel good in order to get the brain to start producing it's own natural happy and pain killing chemicals.

Please anyone reading this who is about to withdraw do not listen to this person. And if ypu can stop reading online stories of opiate withdrawal. You will mostly only find horror stories because it is only people who have a rough time who post their stories on the Internet. They are usually bitter and negative people with a victim mentality who like most addicts want to keep everyone at their level. Sorry to appear rude but it's true.

You will have up to a week of horrible sickness which starts to get better after 3 to 5 days. After that a lack of energy and depression that will get better quicker the more effort you put into it.

Also a word about PAWS. It seems a lot of people on the Internet are misinformed about this. The amount of disinformation about it is scary. PAWS is NOT the 2 weeks of low energy and depression that I just described which is a normal part of opiate withdrawal. PAWS is a very rare syndrome where a person experiences the acute withdrawals again weeks or months after they have completed their detox. Thus happens for no apparent reason and no relapse has been involved. Again I say PAWS is very rare. Please do not listen when you read on drug forums that PAWS is something that affects everyone and that it is the set of lingering symptoms of lack of energy I described above. PAWS is rare. It is a return of early acute withdrawal without having relapsed.

Please people. Think about it this way, you don't know who posts this stuff and most of them seem to think they are doctors or have the right to advise people on medical matters just because they have a few years clean or a few thousand posts on an Internet forum. Well even someone with 10 years clean is still only a thought sway from relapse just the same as someone with a week clean and let me ask you if you had cancer or other physical illness would you put your trust in what some stranger on the Internet told you?

You can do the withdrawal from opiates like you would deal with any illness. However your addict mind wants you to think otherwise. It has a vested interest in you staying addicted. If you stop using and get clean, your addict mind dies. It's a good thing to think of it that way. That you have two personalities. That way when thoughts of using creep in you can tell your addict mind to shut up and leave you alone as if it really were another person. Your addict mind really is a small child that needs love so don't forget to get therapy for your addict once you've done the withdrawal phase of your recovery.

You can do this. You really can. Trust me on this. No go forth into the world of recovery and live the life you always dreamed of because honestly if you beat this your life will be better than it ever was before because you will appreciate it so much more. You might have lost things bit I guarantee your love of life will never be stronger.

Firstly since when is ibogaine, a hallucinogenic plant, an over the counter medication?

Also, you are obviously mistaken if you think that vitamin therapy scientifically can't work. The reason one experiences withdrawal is because of messed up brain chemistry. Providing your body with mega doses of the vitamins (chemicals) that are the building blocks of the chemicals that our body needs to start producing by itself again makes a lot of sense. Although no GP on the planet will tell you this because GPS receive absolutely no training on nutrition in med school. Which is laughable when you think about it since we literally are what we eat.

Please people think twice before believing what others say on the internet especially when it's regarding your health.

True Keston will ensure ypu don't have withdrawal because it is effectively an opiate and will produce withdrawals of its own.

It boggles me when I read people saying that they take tramadol or kratom and they take away withdrawal. It's like saying taking heroin will take away withdrawal from vicodin. Of course it will! They are both opiates. Tramadol is an opioid. If you are addicted to one opiate you are addicted to all opiates and all opiates will help with your withdrawals. It's called cross tolerance and if you use one opiate to relieve your withdrawal from another opiate you're not detoxing.

Determining how much you should take, 1000mgs of Vitamin C = 1 Gram.

Day 1 - Start out with 10 GRAMS. According to what stomach issues you have, work your way up 10 GRAMS every 1 hour to 2 hours. Your goal is to keep on taking massive amounts until your withdrawal symptoms are eliminated. The main dose for day 1 would be around 50 grams to 80 grams. Try to get to 80 grams.

Day 2 - 5 Continue this practice as said on day 1. Keep working your way up to 80 grams, or try to. Deal with the stomach issues. There's no way around the loose bowels and stomach pains if you're withdrawing or not during your most acute detox stage.

If you're not done by day 5, continue.

Day 6 - 7:

You're going to have to start increasing your dose. By this time you will hate taking the vitamin C. But, it's up to you, according to how bad your withdrawal symptoms are, if you want to continue this practice.

My experience with the Liposomal Vitamin C: Sunday night was my last pill! I had been taking vitamin c for 2 days (the building up phase). Day 3 (first day without pain pills) was awesome, no withdrawal symptoms at all! I guess I let my guard down the next day 4, and slacked off the C because the first day was so good! The freezing body temperature was awful, so I bumped up the C again, until I began to feel a little better the next day!

I'm mostly interested in anyone with experience in Valium withdraw and vitamin C, I'm almost convinced it will work from the research Iv'e done but Benzos are the worst for me, so any experience with this? and please add the length of time you have been using, it's very helpful.
