I got on BC at 20 years old. I was having really irregular periods as a teenager. Now at the age of 23 I am trying to get pregnant. I quit taking BC in late June 2012. It is now December 31 2012 and I have not had a period since June. I have been to the doc and she told me that since I was irregular as a teenager, I would probably still be irregular now. I am worried because I have not had a period in so long. I have taken several test every few months which all turn out negative. I am worried I may not be able to get pregnant. I have read online that many times your body has to get use to not have the pill each month. But I figured after this long I would have a period.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas of what may be wrong?

Have you had any tests done, specifically bloodwork, to check your hormone levels? That, and an internal exam would be a good start.
If not, find another doctor.
They need to find out why you are not having your periods.
