I need help im worried something is wrong with me or maybe im just worried I haven't taken my birth control yazmin in a while becuase I was on other meds for depression and sleeping my doctor didnt tell me anything about not taking them i just kept forgetting. Anyways I just started 2 days ago starting my pills again and it hasn't come usually a little before i take the white pill i get spotting but i haven't probably becuase of not taking it for 2 weeks anyways I just wanted to know if anyone had ever had this probably or could give me advice. P.s. I'd like to thank you all for writting down your problems and questions becuase it has given me a little insight

Ive been on YAZ for 1 1/2. It took a while for my periods to level out and they did, but for the past two months I havent really had a period. Only some VERY light discharge that has a brown tinge. Would not even call it anything! In all the time I have been taking it I havent missed a day but just recently stopped using condoms with my BF of two years. Im freaking out now bc my boobs have gotten tender and I don't know whats going on! Has anyone else had this prob!?

I started Yaz 6-7months ago and my first month I got a period like normal but then the 2nd and 3rd months I did not and I too became a nervous wreck. I took 3 HPT's in 2 months and they all came out negative. Then i called the Dr. and she told me that some girls get heavy bleeds, some have lighter bleeds, and some have none and that I was fine. I'm going on my 5th month without a period but I have stopped worrying because I have not had any signs of pregnancy. I get the mood swings and the back aches & for the most part it's been great not having a monthly period, but it seems a little odd to go this long without having a period especially as a 20yr old. The boyfriend even worries about it, so I might switch to something else to get back on a normal cycle and keep myself from wondering. Other than that Yaz works great for me. No weight gain, and it does help keep the acne at a minimum.

yeah I started yaz last month and today i just started my second pack of pills and i havent had a period form the first pack and im getting increasing amount of migraines and well my body fells like its coo coo but not. well i was just curious about my period and wanted to know if anyone else was going through the same thing. well turns out they are.

I have been on Yaz for almost a year. 2 months ago, I quit having my period. After talking to my doctor, she said it was normal. I am not going to complain about it. It is nice not having to deal with it.

Well, since everyone hear seems to be experts on the situation maybe I can get some help. I just started taking Yaz at the end of November the day after my period. I don't use condoms with my boyfriend anymore. I just took my last white pill on Sunday. Today is Tuesday and still no sign of a period. I'm not starting another pack because I wanted to test and make sure Yaz worked. My boyfriend just tells me not to worry because my body got adjusted to the pills and I'm having irregular periods from not continuing to take the pills. Is he right or is there a chance I might be pregnant?

Edit: I got my period Thursday night. Actually, I think I was worrying about it too early since now's about the time I got in November, too. All the posts here were very informative and helpful.

hey ladies. im on yaz and have been for about 5 months. for the first 4 i was a virgin then this past month i had sex. ANYWAYS, i wanted to let the girl talking about weight gain know that i also gained 5-10lbs. however this month alone i llost about 6lbs so dont worry. i will come off eventully. :-) AND my periods are very strange too, like i get it on the last day of the white pill. sooo heres my question. being new to sex and all im kinda freaking out. . i dont take the white pills since i know there is no need to, however usually i miss one pill a month, but i always catch it and double up. im so scared that im going to get prego. is there anyway this could happen because i dont take the white pills and dont have a normal period?? thanks so much. ;-)

I've been on yaz for over 6 months now, and have NEVER had my period.
My doctor said it's completely normal. Yaz is a different type of pill, with only 4 white pills. Sometimes your body can't produce a period in that 3 days span.
Therefore, it's normal to have no period at all!

I started Yaz in may or june of 2006 after having my son. I have ALWAYS been able to pinpoint exactly what day my period will start since I was like 13. I started out on a different birth control when I was a 12-13 then switched to the Yaz after 3 kids and 13 years of ortho tricyclen. I was suposed to start my period on Sat the 7th. The only time I haven't had my period is when I was pregnant. I took a urine test and a blood test...both came back negative. I don't like not having my period!!! I hope it comes back next month because I'm still not convinced I'm not pregnant ( I took 8 at home tests when I was 8-12 weeks along with my son and everyone came back negative)

I have been taking YAZ for about 4 months now. Hands down the best BC I have ever tried. I never take the white pills but start the pink pills 4 days after the last pack. My period usually starts after the second pill of the new pack. Now I am experiencing the brown tinge discharge with light cramps. Could this mean that I wont get my next period?

i took a home pregnancy test last month when i didn't get my period and it was negative.

I am glad I found this post, because I was starting to worry. My period is overdue, and I believe its because I just started to take yaz again. I wasn't taking it for a while, and I am now on my 3rd week. It kinda freaked me out, since I haven't had my period since January 13th, and my period is usually very regular.

My periods stopped completely when I was taking Yaz. My doctor told me it wasn't very common, but it was fine (unless I missed having my period;-). When she did a scan on me, it turned out that my uterine lining was very thin (probably from the pill) and she said there was nothing to be shed, hence no period. Now I've been off the pill for 6 months, and ttc for 4 months with no luck :-( I wonder if this may be related? My periods are really short now (2-3 days) and quite light...Every cycle has been a different length so far :-((
