i recently had a chest x-ray done and its findings were"punctate calcified density involving the left upper chest probably secondary to old granulomatous disease". a positive PPD skin test done 2 years ago is the reason for the chest x-rays. i am a helth adult have had common cold and bronchitis in the past and used to be a smoker 20 years ago, about 1/2 pack a dy for 5 years. pervious x-rays have not reported this finding, should i seek further medical advice/tests?

I was "diagnosed" with the same recently during a physical for a new job. this has never shown up before, i'm 28 and rarely get sick (flu, cold. maybe once every year or two).
I don't smoke, never have. Don't do drugs, I even stay away from aspirin.
I read that I should be constantly sick.
When I do get sick, it's max 3 days. with the second day full of mucus and constant sneezing.
When I was born the doctor said I had bronchitis but have been told that the doctor said I was cured at about 2 yrs old. I don't have asthma.
I read elsewhere that this is genetic and can be passed on to my future kids. I didn't completely understand which parent "transmitted" this to me as it was contradictory. And that at least according to another post I should of died at max 5 yrs old.
Any ideas or more information would be helpful, as this is allegedly such a rare disease.
I had the flu about a week before I had this x-ray, I wonder if that might have been misdiagnosed or not. I did mention this to the doctor that checked the x-ray.
