Hi l thought it might be helpful to you. I also had testicular pain so did 2 varicocele surgeries, still pain didnt go away. I went to atleast 10 didferent doctors and even pain managment doctors but pain didnt go away. So recently went to Dr A. Lee Dellon in Baltimore and told him everything abt my condition he said tht he cud help me . He said thr was sth wrong with my Genitofemoral nerve. Truly during surgery he found Genitofemoral nerve trapped in scar tissue frm previous varicocele surgeries. He cut off genitofemoral nerve. And i got great relief. I wid suggest u to try this as probable cause too. I believe u might get rid iff ur pain.

He might not want to admit he screwed something up because he doesn't want to be sued.

Well your kidneys are connected to your junk considering if u had kidney Stone's that is were u pass them through so nerves amongst other things will work hand and hand so give it time and take some Percocet.

Hello fellow Varicocele suffers,

Before Surgery:
I had my varicocolectomy abou t2 months ago, almost 3 months now. Before my surgery the pain was not as intense. I would say the worst it would get was a 7/10 and those incidents only happened 3 times over the 6 years I had it before surgery. Other times it was dull and achy, about a 3 or 4/10. Now I feel I may be special in one aspect that I have not noticed from reading the other comments. Prior to surgery if I had pain, I would masturbate and the pain would slowly dissipate and go away. Idk if that has anything to do with anything, but I am very curious if there is anyone else that had the same problem. Or should I call it a solution? Lol.

Post surgery:
2 almost 3 months post surgery, I am in the worst pain of my life. The pain is intermittent it seems, but it is far worse than before. It is very uncomfortable and the pain spreads to my back on my left side. My varicocele is on my left. When it hurts I cant walk properly and look like a f*****g cripple. My previous method of masturbation no longer works to relieve the pain. Only the strongest of pain meds work, over the counter just doesnt cut it.

I read all of these comments and see that some people on here never recover from the pain completely. I feel I may one to fall into this category, and I must say it is depressing as hell... I like to be active and go to the gym, but ever since this surgery, the motivation is no longer there. The pain drains all my energy, and sometimes its so bad I cant help but concentrate on the pain and loose all focus on simple things I am doing, like holding a simple conversation.

I will try and keep posted on my recovery results over time on here. Im just glad I am not alone. The only one hope I have right now is this Urological research study of pain and varicocelectomy surgery. It suggest that the longer scrotal pain lasts post-operation, that the more likely the overall success of the surgery and less likely to reform a varicocele!! Of the 300 people studied, the median duration of pain was 11 months! Thats the sh*t end of the stick. So for those of you that are still experiencing pain even after months later, maybe this will help you feel better about it. Until then, hang in there everyone ;)

Hey just had my Varicocele surgery done about three weeks ago. I know you wrote this post about a year ago, but have you had any relief after a month? I'm still having shooting pain and sensitive to the touch down there. Wondering how long till it all goes away?
