I have had neck surgery for a herniated disk that was pressing a nerve. It caused severe pain in my chest, back, left arm and numbness in the left hand/fingers. This was in 2002. I had fusion surgery and a replacement donor bone in C5. Now, 7 years later, I am experiencing the same pain, numbness and tingling in the same areas on the right side. I had an MRI done 3 days ago, and am waiting on the results.
I am also experiencing dizziness, and occassional feelings of passing out. I have also had tremendous headaces in the back of my head and neck.
What do you think might be causing my problem?

Hello:
You sound like a very strong person, who has survived a lot. The new symptoms sound like nerve problems as well. I'm sure they do to you also, even the dizziness. Perhaps the injury that you sustained before the last surgery had other consequences that are just now appearing because the injury was not as severe. I sympathize with you. It sounds like you are getting good treatment and you will have test results soon. Again, you are a trooper and I know that you will get thru this event also. Please let us support you. Keep us updated regarding your progress.
