I've had pain where my heart is since probably around the age 16. And I still have it! I'm 18 years old now. Just found out I have extremely high blood pressure, and hypothyroidism. I'm going to a kidney doctor soon. But still don't know what the chest pain is.

For anyone having the left sided chest pain when laying on their left side. I had this for almost two years, and developed heart palpations around the same time several times a day. Had everything under the sun looked at from heart, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, liver nothing was found. I went to a gastroenterologist and she gave me a prescription for 40 mg of zegrid and with then 3 weeks it was 60% better and with then 6 weeks it was completely gone! The palpations decreased and after 3 months are completely gone. I am assuming I had some form of nasty ulcer in my stomach or a little lower. I am 43 female.

Not a Dr. But only addressing the propping up- acid reflux (not suggesting that is what you have) need to prop their bed under the legs of bed about four inches. It helps my daughter a great deal with reflux

I've had this for quite some time, usually comes and goes. Recently, its been on going and not seeming to get better. I figured it must have something to do with gas and digestive issues. I'm having the same issue, but mine has been 2 days now. When I stand up it doesn't hurt as bad and I can kinda take a deep breath, but when I lay on my left side, it hurts bad, I can't take a deep breath at all, basically no breath. It's only that side. It's a very sharp pain..

Add to my question, what could this be? I'm very healthy, and have never had this. My husband was sick with the flew, but I really never caught it as bad as he had it. And when I take a really strong deep breath, I feel a little pain going up my neck on the same side? Any answers that can help me figure out what this is, and will it go away??
