I was playing football (soccer) today. A couple of minutes into the game and I got a sharp pain in my testicular/groin muscle region. I thought it was because I might not have stretched properly and so as I tried to stretch that muscle, I could feel the pain and I thought that was definitely it. I took the game a bit more slowly for the next few minutes, but I then forgot about it and played like normal. I just went in the shower and felt a slight twinge of pain, and I wanted to see if there was any inflammation or anything, so I went to move my scrotum out of the way and them felt more pain and realised that it's not the muscle, but my left testicle that hurts.

I looked it up and thought it might be pain from trauma (I think that's what it's called when its just pain from it being hit), but my left "ball" seems a bit more tender and surely it would go away after a few minutes and not come back? Also, I just remembered, a couple of years ago, I had to go into hospital due to testicular torsion on that "ball".

What do you think it could be and what should I do?

Thanks
