When reading this post, I was optimistic somebody would have followed up on what they had. I have the same exact thing...dull pain in the left side of my scrotum and the pain wraps around into the left inner leg. It looks like my ballsack is swollen where the pain is, but this all comes and goes. I'll be good for a week, the next it'll be back. This has been going on for several months now. I am thinking varicocele, but who really knows. I should probably see a doctor, but with my luck, it'll be on the week when it isn't bothering me. Anybody reading this know what it could be? Have you went through it and got an answer? It doesn't seem like I have a swollen ball, just the cord next to it perhaps. Email me if you do... t9p1p1 at yahoo dot com. Thanks.

Jaycarmea every thing that you said is/has happened to me. The pain is in my right testicle, and migrates down my right leg. My left leg and testicle feel normal though.
A doctor gave me an ultrasound, and he couldn't find anything. I also was put on Naproxen, which did nothing also. As well an antibiotics.

Its been around 6 months now with the pain, and I just want to get rid of it but nothing seems to work. The pain is especially strong when sitting down, or laying down, which makes falling to sleep hard

Hi all!, for about 2months now, i have been experiencing pain in my right testicle, at first it was just a dull ache when i walked, but then it got worse, to the point where every step felt soo discomforting it brings me to tears, I cant walk long distances or this pain comes back. I have a constant twitching feeling in my right thigh aswell. I've been to the doctors twice and the hospital once my doctor gave me Doxycycline which is used for curing infections cause by chlamydia or ghonorea I gave her 2 urinary tests an both came back ok... so my doctor was very confused and gave me a different kind of medicine called Ofloxacin, this seemed like it was working up to a few days ago, now i get this weird feeling as if my body feels likes its running then stops then kicks up again, hopefully this isnt threatening but ill check it out with my doctor, anyways does anyone have any ideas as to what the hell this is? an how i can get better, cause i have a kid to worry about and i cant work with this...

Hi! I hope your pain has gotten better or that you have found a doctor who could give you a better diagnosis. I had similar symptoms as you and I was misdiagnosed at first and received Antibiotics which worked for a few days but the pain came back.

If you haven't done so yet, please visit a urologist. He should perform a ultrasound exam and take some blood work (tumor markers: Beta HCG, LDH, AFP). The Ultrasound will determine if there is a solid mass in your testicle in which case in most likely is cancer. If it is not a solid mass it could be a range of other issues, but at least you'll know it's not cancer.

If it is cancer do not freak out, Testicular cancer is one of the most treateable cancers, it's close to 99% survial rate these days. So you will live but only if you get a diagnosis and undergo treatment in time. Timing is key!

Always get second opinions if you feel your doctor is not qualified or doesn't give you satisfying treatments or answers. Never hesitate to switch doctors.

I wish you good luck.

Some of the symptoms posted sound similar to Sciatica - a back problem. The sciatic nerve which travels down the lower back, through the buttock and lower limb can become irritated and leg and testicle pain can be a common symptom - maybe check with your own doctor to be on the safe side though!

Yeah, I've been having the same sort of problems. Things started on August 2nd went I felt a slow, sudden dull ache in my left testicle. Went to the ER where they gave me an ultrasound and tested my urine. They diagnosed me with epididymitis and gave me an anti-biotic. I stayed on the 10 day regiment and everything was fine. A month later the pain came back, with a vegence. Only this time it was a steady, burning pain in my right testicle. My right testicle was also much higher elevated than ususal. After going to the ER again, they gave me a shot, and another 10 day regiment of a different anti-biotic and some viccodin for the pain. Recently, the inner of my right thigh has begun to burn as well. Symptoms worsen when sitting and lying down for long periods. Seeing as I'm a gamer, this causes much suffering. Symptoms do seem to be a lot better when walking around or standing up. Sleep has become very difficult. Also went to a urilogist, but he didn't do much, or ask a lot of questions. Just nodded along and said that he agreed that it was epiddymitis. From the sound of this message board, it sounds like we all have something that has yet to be identified and is casually passed off for other problems by the medical community.

As mentioned in one of the posts, it appears that medical community does not knows much about this problem. One of the probable reasons is that it might not be life threatning and thus not much work on this problem. However the person facing the heat knows that it is very hard to live with it.

One day when I came back from jogging this problem appeared. Initially I thought that I might have overstrained myself but the slight irritation on right testicle along with slight pain in right thigh existed for couple of days. Also I had this small pain in the lower abdomen at right side (something like near the base of Penis or between hip joint and base of Penis). I consulted couple of GP's and a urologist. Initially they asked to get Ultrasound of lower abdomen which was followed by Uroflowmetry (to test the bladder pressure) along with couple of blood tests. Everything came fine and there was no problem as per the tests (hernia, testicular cysts or torsion, epidydamis were all ruled out). This was followed by a course of antibiotics but this only provided temporary relief.

In the latest consultation with one of the urologist, I was asked to wear a tight brief instead of a loose underwear. Also I was asked to do "YOGA" to strengthen my abdominal muscles instead of heavy weight exercise or jogging. I have been asked to revisit my doc after 2 weeks. Lets see how it turns out.

Do share your thoughts on the same.

Thanks,
De

As I am writing this I am looking back through the post and I think Tim and DAREYOU nailed it. I have been having similiar issues for the past 10 years. I came to this site a couple months ago because I was having flare ups. Tonight, I was feeling bad again and I decided to check my ph levels of my urine. Sounds crazy but it was completly acidic ( way below 7). Took some calcuim and drank a lot of water and in about 4 hours symptoms were relieved and ph level came up a bit. I am going to monitor this a little more now. Could be a coincidence but I think i found out my problem. First time through I didn't pay attention to Tim an DAREYOU's. will keep you posted. just read tim's article posted on 07/22/06 and dang it if i didn't give it any credit the first time through. I am going to definately try some Apple Cider Vinegar too. good luck!

well all my pain is on the right side. it seems like the pain goes over top my hip bone sometimes.the only thing different from the above is I drink alot of coke and red bull. maybe it is the acidic thing. my dad and his father have had many kidney stones. im on a strong dose of pain medicine and it does nothing for the pain. I had a doctor tell me it was a build up of narcs over the years. i think he is anti pain medicine, but anyways i dont drink beer.. i have had a cbc and ultra sound but nothing abnormal was found. some times it feels like my testicle is swollen b ut i have no idea. i have not seen a specialist yet.. some help this is agrivating..

Hello,
With regard to pain and swelling in the bottom of the right testicle, the knee, thigh and pelvic region. I went to an osteopath (I was desperate) and it turned out to be an Upper Lumbar Disc Herniation/Bulge (strange, as I didn't even have a pain in my back).
N.B. I had never been to an osteopath before and was reluctant to do so.
However, after my second visit today everything has cleared up and I am back to normal.
So osteopath it is!
I hope this helps... I am soooo glad the pain has gone.
Oh yes, I also went to a GP, however, he could not find anything wrong and thought it may be an STD (which it is not). I have since lost my faith in GPs as they don't seem to resolve the problem and just hand out anti inflammatory medicine, which is fine, but that simply stops the swelling and pain and does not sort the root of the problem.
