I experienced severe testicle pain in my right testicle 7 months ago in July and was treated for Epidymitis by taking Anti-biotics for 14 days which seemed to kill the problem.
However the problem came back and even though on Erythromycin & Ibuprofen for 2 months the problem worsened. I came off Antibiotics for a month as the doctor said it was probrably an inflammation problem rather than a resididng infection. The problem then spread to the left testicle. I went back onto antibiotics & Ibprfn for last 3 months but it seems to have no effect.
The pain is worsened by movement. I have not been working for 4 months now as the pain increases the more i move about. I wear a support for when i do go out and about which helps but the pain increases after i take it off for the next couple of days.
I am seeing a Urologist which is taking its time. I have had an Ultra sound which showed nothing.
What can I do to improve my situation? Im feeling that no medication is helping. Are there other cases of Chronic testicle pain similar? What options do i have?
The main thing im worrying about is taking ibuprofen for so long (1200mg daily) - will this be helping the healing process?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have had the same issue over the past 8 months or so now. Initially i had acute pain in my right testicle accompanied by a pulling sensation in my inner right thigh. For obvious reasons i started to check myself out and in doing so i found what i believe to be a small ball baring like stone in the epididymis region. I did some googling and read that it could be an epididymal cyst. The pain lingered on for about 2 weeks until it worsened so much i couldn't even walk and i was forced to go to the hospital. I saw 2 urologists over 1 month period and all they did was, feel me up, took a urine sample, told me all i had was an infection, gave me a prescription for antibiotics and sent me on my way, both times. The antibiotics seemed to slowly work but it took quite along time for the pain to subside.
Recently (6 months later) and still with a ball baring like stone in my right side, the problem flared up again, but for 1-2 days only...This again got so bad that i was having trouble walking. I lied in bed for a good day or so and after that i seemed fine. I then called the hospital to find out what the name of the infection was, but they didn't know.
As of today the pain is quite mild but now somewhat constant, and in both testicles. Occasionally i get a sharp shooting pains that travel into my abdomen from the right side. I have read a lot about the symptomatic causes of this type of pain and have ruled out any STD's, thus far. My partner and i are trying to have children now and im extremely concerned that this problem could be inhibiting my right to be a father.
So, in conclusion i dare say it's time for another trip back to the hospital for some more tests. This time i am putting my foot down and demanding thorougher tests from the doctors. A practice i believe everyone should do initially if they have real concerns about their body. I will keep this thread posted on my progress for people who are suffering from the same symptoms as i, or anyone who is merely interested.
Regards,
Jim.

Hi jim,
Seems similar , I had a pain in my lower stomach and joint of leg to body near pelvis, aching dull pain, then later that day found my right testical to have swollen really big, couldn't even touch it,
Went to A&E , took tests and blood etc, had ultra sound, said could have twisted the testical and then went back to normal, spoke about surgery to have a look , but looked fine , I had to fly out on holiday to Far East 2 days later, so just took antibiotics which they gave me, swelling went down, but pain in joint in leg and lower stomach hurts a lot when walk, and testical hurts a bit dull pain now, also I have found a lot of veins around the left testical like a bag of worms, they don't hurt though , now I found then on the right testical, not pain on the veins but very dull pain in abdomen and joint, also a bit in right testical,
Don't know what to do , am still on holiday for 2 weeks , and don't know whether to go and see someone here in Far East about this in hospital.
Think could be varicose veins , but I am 43 years old , first time I have seen the veins , didn't have them before .
Any one know anything here
Stressed a bit
