This past december I had pain in left lateral lower chest and back, at first felt like gallbladder pain off and on for one day. previous to this I had a few episodes of pain in left chest when I took in a deep breath. A week after the first episode of pain in December I had it again but this time it moved to epigastric area (sternal) and neck. Thought I was having a heart attack. Went to ER EKG normal sat for 9 1/2 hours waiting to be seen, went home. Happened again three days later, driving home from work. went to the ER again. EKG normal, stress test normal. upper GI showed small hiatial hernia. CT scan showed a 2cm nodule on my left adrenal gland. Aldosterone level 1 point above normal. I am 48 years old, havent had a menstral cycle since December that one was normal. my hair is thinning, gained 30 pounds in 2 years. Currently on weight watchers and have only lost 5 pounds, and am starting to put it back on. I think it has something to do with the adrenal nodule, but primary MD and GI MD think it is too small. Any thoughts. The pain is comming back, last 2 days I have had an ache in laft lateral ribs and lateral back. This is how it usually starts. I am an RN.
