I was told years ago that I have a hyrnia in my diaphram, would that account for the pain under my breast bone?

Hi there,

Well if you have a pain under your breast I don’t think that this might be indicated by the hernia. Hernia is a condition when you have  lump in your lower abdomen along with the pain and pressure at that region that occurs from lifting a heavy weight. In my opinion this pain might be caused by the trauma to your ribs or your muscles under your breast. Have you been hit with anything in that area? Do you have problems when you sleep? I think that you might take some pain killers in order to get rid of the pain. I hope that this was helpful in any way.

All the best,

Danella
